Verner "Rusty" Clark was born on September 21, 1958, in Springfield, Illinois, his father, Verner, was 23 and his mother, Nancy, was 20. He married Lisa Finch in 1977 in his hometown. They had one child during their marriage. He died on October 2, 2006, in Kennesaw, Georgia, at the age of 48.

I just became aware of Rusty's passing. He was a great guy and my heart goes out to Lisa, Joshua, and the entire family.

Rusty and I met in Basic Training and then reunited in Okinawa. He was a great friend and roommate, and I often recount memories from back then as vivid as if it were yesterday.
I know he loved Lisa & Joshua very much.
Rest in piece my good man.

SPRINGFIELD - Doug Coontz, 51, a lifelong resident of Springfield, died Friday May 8th 2009 at St. John's Hospital. .
He was born January 1, 1958 the son of George and Ann Corbett Coontz. He married Cheryl Granger August 11, 1990. .
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers. .
Doug was the former general manager of the Ground Round in Springfield, and then was a sales representative for Greco Restaurant Equipment. He was a member of Laurel Ave. United Methodist Church. .
Doug was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Rams fan. He played racquet ball, enjoyed cooking, and loved his dogs, Goofy, Mickey, Doc, and Tiny. .

Doug was the best friend I had many years ago. He helped me stay strong when I was in a bad relationship. He was the godfather to two if my children. I am sorry to only now being reaching out to find him. I wish peace to his family.
